IO, Digital Sh*t

I just got cablevision's super-dupper IO digital service on Thursday...

The good:
-Great picture quality.
-Digital quality sound.
-About 100 extra channels.

BUT (the bad)
I was told that I was going to be able to use their highly touted OnDemand service. With OnDemand you are supossed to be able to order any-movie any-time, plus pause, fast forward, rewind, etc, etc, any movie in the library. (library varies every month, totalling around 700 movies & shows.)

OnDemand does not work AT ALL. I can browse for the movies, and everytime I select one, I get "VIDEO ERROR 113"

I have spoken with cablevision every night since thursday, and noone seems to know what the fuck is wrong with the service or with my cable box.

Does anybody else have the service? What are your experiences with it?

I'd love to hear other peoples experience with this frustrating piece of shit.

You're getting all pissed over one feature? You have the sony cablebox and the equipped remote, right? other than that, i dont know what your problem is. Of course, even if cablevision doesnt know the problem, that's not saying much.

Well, I'm not really getting all pissed, its more like a nagging frustration... And considering that the OnDemand feature is THE reason why I switched from regular to digital... I think I should be entitled to be pissed.

on demand doesnt come with the package, you have to order it seperate, if u already did that and that is the message i dont know what to tell you, but until i actually called and asked for the service i couldnt access the movies.

If you PAID for something and one feature doesn't work 100%, you have every right to call them until they make it right. If they can't fix it demand a refund and see what kind of free shit they start offering you.

Call and complain. One time my cable modem wasn't working for an entire weekend. I called Cablevision to complain, and they gave me the whole month free.

Spoken like a true prodigy.

I have been calling them EVERY DAY. And despite the fact that the service is still not working I have bitched at them daily. I have already gotten a $10 credit (the OnDemand service is $4.95 a month, so I'm 2 months up on them already...)

But seriously, if you are not satisfied people, ALWAYS call! That's what customer service's JOB is. And with all the other companies you can get different cable services through, they'll give you everything short of a hummer to stay with them.

I just recently subscribed to IO too. Mine works fine, and I am very happy with it. My god man, Soprano's any time I want! I pause and rewind for absolutely no reason...just cause I can. I'm just hoping for the rain to come back so that I can have a need for it again.
