Super Elastic Bubble Plastic

Does anybody else remember this toy? It came in tubes that looked like model glue, and you squeezed out a dollop of this toxic smelling, multi-colored goop and put it on the end of a straw. When you blew into the straw, you could blow bubbles through the glop. Thern you could pinch off the end of the bubbles and toss them around or display them.

It also didn't work very well.

I loved that stuff. But it didn't really work. It was just something that every kid had to have.

If I recall, the bubbles smelled like glue.

They didn't stay inflated very long, it was just rainbow colored glue that dried quickly. It smelled like model glue.

its kind of funny, because my sister got some of this bubble plastic. and i swear the fumes were getting me high. It was cool when i was a kid, but now a days, its pretty lame and only good for a quick crappy cheap high.

No, I don't sniff Super Elastic Bubble Plastic, and I do not condone the use of said product in an improper manner.

Yeah, and if you touched the balloon too soon, you could put a hole in it. Then it'd start to deflate and you'd try to fix it with the goop but it'd only get worse and you'd get the goop all over your hands, which was hard to wash off.
It was like trying to get Crazy Glue off.
The deflating balloons would get kinda crisp as they hardened.

The stuff we got was red- my brother used to chew it because he said it was solid Carbona- Mikey liked it!!!!

FUNKMAN-- yeah, I think so. I remember the straw and how the goop kinda smelled like airplane glue. This is decades ago, but I seem to recall trying to fix holes in the balloon by pinching the balloon and trying to use the goop to patch it but patching it seldom worked and I'd just end up with the goop on my hands and where my goopy fingertips would touch the balloon they would stick and cause another hole.
I also remember chewing on the hardened goop.

They now sell it on tv & also in the mall...It is soo bad..my firneds son left it on her wooden table & it ate threw the wood...

I don't think anyone knows, because they never got to make the balloon without it fucking up

when I was maybe 8 or 9, my cousin took a bunch of this stuff and squeezed it into a hamburger which I then took a bite out of.
