United States Title to Smackdown!

Looks like they will be evening out the rosters by adding the United States Title to Smackdown! soon. I think it's a good idea and will keep people like Matt Hardy out of the Cruiserweight division.

You may find it boring, but to those of us who respect the actual wrestling itself it's a wonderful bit of tradition that's been brought back.

I'm torn on them bringing back the U.S. title. If they plan on using it to give a nice rub to guys like Hardy or Cena, I'm all for it. But I don't want to see it wasted around the belt of A-Train or (ugh) Billy Gunn.

This is a good move like Fallon said cuz Matt Hardy shouldn't wear the Cruiserweight Title. He deserves this title!

Rhyno, O'Haire, Haas, Benjamin, Tajiri and Eddie Guerrero would be good candidates as well.

What was the bloody point of getting rid of it in the first place? I mean Geez. Unify the heavyweight titles, the tag titles, the U.S. and intercontinental titles only to bring them all back? At this point I'm wondering how long before Raw has it's own cruiserweight title and Smackdown gets a women's title. I would sacrifice nostalgia for some consistency. let's Pick a program and run with it you know? Maybe I'm alone in this but it just seems to me like a bad idea

Smackdown having the US Title is now putting this brand seperation in full effect. Took awhile, but now both sides have an even amount of titles. I like it and I can't wait to see how it turns out. Hopefully, Billy Gunn, John cena, and Sean O'Haire will be top contenders for the title. Maybe they will even put Billy Kidman in the title run.

Raw has the the World Championship and the World Tag Team Titles. Basically WCW belts. SMackdown has the WWE Heavyweight championship and the WWE Tag Team belts. However Raw has the IC title and now Smackdown has the U.S. title. Anyone else think they should have switched it to have all the major WWE titles on one show.

I think it was done this way on purpose to keep the entire wrestling world from referring to Raw as "Nitro" on a fulltime basis.

To me it looks like they just took the Old WWF lightwieght belt and gave it a new paintjob and put the WWE logo on it. I think it liiks like crap. honestly do you need the American Flag that big on it? On this the WCW US Title looked fine
