I havent followed wrestling in over a year and I think it is a shame that the WWF has deteriorated into something so stupid that even I cant bare to watch it.
In the past couple of weeks I have been turning on RAW and Smackdown every now and then checking up on whos the champs and crap. The storylines are hard to follow but I still like watching the wrestling. Unfortunately, on a 2 hour WWF program there is about 30 minutes of wrestling. This is the problem I have with the WWF and have had with them since like 1999.
So my question is, is there any wrestling alternative that I can watch besides WWF?
And im not paying 10 bucks to watch TNA or WWA. I also dont want to waste computer space and stuff d/loading those events. I need just a normal, free, wrestling program on cable.

To put it simply, no. It's really a shame that Vince had to destroy all of the competition. It was always comforting to know that we could always turn to WCW and ECW when the WWF would suck. But, hey. That's why I have an incredible video collection. I am currently watching my best of the early 80's WWF tapes. I'll take Backlund-Adonis over Nash-Hunter any day.

Im not saying it is, but I'd like to be able to flip to some kind of show that isnt the WWF. I dont want to be some wrestling fanatic like I use to be, but I still want to be able to enjoy some good ol fashion rasslin.
But maybe I should just get my older ECW/80's WWF tapes out of my basement.

There's a couple of alternatives to the WWF. There's the Animal planet channel, on TNT you have Turner and Hound, Nick has Flipper, ESPN and ESPN2 show a variety of hunting/fishing shows. There's also Scooby Doo on Toon network if you like animated animals. Discovery channel shows various wildlife shows from time to time too.

Todd, you're thinking of UWFi (Union of Professional Wrestling Force International) the third promotion of the UWF shoot-style wrestling gimmick. It's not actually shoot, it's worked. The matches are still predetermined like pro-wrestling. But yeah if that interests anyone reading this it's on the Metro channel Saturdays at 8pm.

You want an alternative to Raw? You better become a WB fan. Don't like Smackdown? Try reading something cuz I don't think anything worth watching comes on Thursdays nights. Unless you like Jamie Kennedy. I think his show is still on.
Raw and Smackdown may have gotten a bit too... urgh, but I'd watch those shows before anything else anyday.

That's exactly his point. It's been so long, he didn't know there was a change. Don't be a tool. My suggestion for an alternative, watch Most Extreme Elimination Challenge every Saturday night at 9, only on the NEW...TNN.
(This thread not sponsored by TNN nor has any affiliation to it. It's just the way it came out.)

Actually I do know its 'E' and not 'F' anymore, but i cant get used to that. WWE just doesnt roll of the tongue, or keyboard, as WWF does.
I have watched Most Extreme Challenge and its hilarious. One of the most horribly put together shows but I get tons of kicks outta it.
I have also seen some UFC events, I think I could get into those, despite having to pay the money. But whatever.

I hear ya. It took a good fifty mental corrections before I consciously made the effort to say, write, or think WWE. You get used to it after a while.

Indeed.
They should really go ahead and transition the belt onto Tenzan already. I like Takayama quite a bit, but it's long past Tenzan's time, and they need to put him over as the legitimate ace of the company before it's too late.
