When my three sons first aired it starred William Frawley as the housekeeper. Then he left and was replaced by William Demerest. HEY! A change of bill. I think there was another son on the show in the begining and ala Chuck from happy days vanished. Questions ,comments , thoughts anyone?

The exodus of Mike created a dilemma for "My Three Sons",hence the "abduction/adoption" of Ernie.The poor kid was just hanging around the neighborhood like a stray cat and the Douglas' felt compelled to keep him.

Well technically, he didn't leave, Frawley died. So its pretty safe to say he would have never been replaced if he hadn't croaked...
