60's, 70's, 80's, or 90's?

As I was watching that VH-1 special "I love the 80's", i was reminded ho much i do infact love the 80's. So muchcool shit came out then. It was a great time to be a kid.

The 70s. I was happier as a child than as a teen in the 80s.

The 80's. When kids went to the library instead of the internet, and knew how to do math without a calculator.

Sorry to vent, but I think 90's and 00's technology is making people dumber.

it is so hard to decide which decade was the worst. the 60s were the beginning of the worst, the 70s were the continuation, the 80s, the recycling of the worst, and the 90s transformed into the awful.

granted there are redeeming qualities for each, but those qualities are outweighed by their detrimental qualities. everything that's wrong with today began in the 60s. a bit harsh, but true.

i won't waste space explaining it decade by decade, but take it at face value. when did the whinniness start, the real laziness, the complacency, and utter self-loathing come from?

please note i am not talking about the major social changes, ie. civil rights, gay rights, the dynamics of world relations, etc... i am referring to social/ cultural phenomena that can be stuffed into a vh1 program.

Since I only experienced two, out of those, I'd have to go with the 80s. It was great to be a kid in the 80s. We got away with stuff then that can't be done now... like actually being a kid. All these children want to do now is be grown, thereby missing out on the fun of being young and knowing nothing! And I think our toys were better back then too.

born in '62

i'd say the 60's - had the least amount of responsibility...

which reminds me of a Grand Funk gem:

Responsibility

Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-eee,
Into my life came responsibility.
She's got some shakin', kickin', sailin', long blonde hair,
And when I want to get off you know she'll take me there.
I'm talkin' 'bout ...
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-eee,
She fill me up with responsibility.
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-eee,
She fill me up and let me down, can't you see ...
Life is full of re ...
re-spons-ibil-ity.
Life is full of re ...
re-spons--responsibility.
Life is full of re ...
re-re--responsibility.
Life is full of responsibility.
And I'm responsible for you and me.
Good lovin' messin' up my mind,
A chick like this one is so hard to find.
She takes care of everything I need,
And when I want some stuff you know that she takes heed.
I'm talkin' 'bout ...
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-eee,
She fill me up with responsibility -- yeah.
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-eee,
She fill me up and let me down, can't you see ...
Life is full of re ...
re-spons-ibil-ity.
Life is full of re ...
re-spons--responsibility.
Life is full of re ...
re-re--responsibility.
Life is full of responsibility.
And I'm responsible as I can be.
Yeah, responsible, responsible baby.
Yeah, responsible.
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-eee.
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-eee.
Responsible, responsible baby.
I'm tryin' to be responsible, responsible baby ...
... Yeah, ayyyy ... Yeah ... ayyyy ...
Every day, baby; yes I am, baby; you know I can, baby.
Life is full of re ...
re-spons-ibil-ity.
Life is full of re ...
re-spons--responsibility.
Life is full of re ...
re-re--responsibility.
Life is full of responsibility.
And I'm responsible for you and me.
Life is full of re ...
re-spons-ibil-ity.
Life is full of re ...
re-spons--responsibility.
Life is full of re ...
re-re--responsibility.
Life is full of responsibility.
And I'm responsible for you and me.

i loved the 90s... its was way back before anyone knew that you couldnt eat ecstasy 3-5 times a week, and stay awake on crystal meth for days on end. when big phat-assed pants were the shit, cause you couldnt see your feet when you were dancing. barbra walters had the parents in an uproar over some kind of ritualistic techno death cult called the rave scene. parties like frankie bones storm raves in NY, catastrophic was throwing parties out of the back of 20ft trucks in DC that somtimes ended up under bridges. lonny fisher and his kids (ultraworld) were raving the bay in baltimore, and a maryland kid named scott henry got the residency at a party called buzz, which won urb magazines best weekly in america 4 years in a row. the kids from lovelab were taking over farms in west virginia throwing full moon gatherings that lasted days. fuckin good time it was.....now i'm just an old jaded partykid.

I was born in '65. The best for me was the '70's
I had the best of life then. No responsibilities, no expectations, just fun and games. When I die, I wanna go back there and just keep reliving it.
