4th Saturday of Rain...

Well... at least I know for Sure this is the 4th Saturday in a row where it's raining, and not just that drizzle shit. As I type this it sucks out. A steady Rain. The Belmar Seafood Festival's here today. I went down a while ago, and there were under 500 people. Last year I think 50,000 showed.

Last Saturday I had to be at an outdoor jazz/blues show. Ditto. Steady Rain.

Weekend before that was Memorial Day weekend. Ween was playing outdoors Saturday at the Stone Pony down here. Postponed to sunday due to rain. It rained Sunday too.

Weekend before THAT [frigging May 17th]; I was going to go to a big outdoor Flea Market at a state park here. Cancelled dut to rain.

OK; it's cool to have a rainy saturday once in a while coz it gives you an excuse to stay in and veg and not feel guilty about not going outside. But for fuck sake; this STINKS!

all this rain sucks. the only good thing is i'm able to push back yard work week after week. my wife has tons of plants and flowers she wants me to plant. oh well.

the weird thing is the other day in the mail I got a water restriction letter for this summer. It snowed a ton this winter and has rained 75% of the time lately. how can their be water restrictions?

You don't want London rain. It's not even really rain. It's like a pile of gray clouds just stack up over the sky for weeks on end and you get a constant mist. And it doesn't even LOOK like it's raining...you'll just outside and after an hour so will realize you're suddenly all wet. AWFUL.

i thought it had to do with resevoir levels, which last summer were at record lows up here in Northern NJ. but over the winter they were talking about how they have again reached normal levels and were expected to go above normal. and i think there were about 5 days without rain/snow since i heard that...in March.

I work outside all day, climbin' poles (Cable guy) and this is just insane!
I called out today. But not because of the rain.
A guy I work with has used all his sick and personal days already! The last bein' just this past Monday (the third one he's not gettin' paid for...heh, heh) And he's never sick, just P-whipped!

He gets written up Tuesday for it, and THEN has the balls to ask for Thursday off! AND GETS IT! He has a few vacation days left. My boss is a good guy, but is a little retarded sometimes.

So I though, ya know what, the Hell with them!
