what i don't get is:
if the tape has to have the strength to hold your body weight then how do you do any climbing. The first time you put your hand or foot on the wall it's gonna get stuck... you're gonna need alot of strength to pull your foot or hand off...
then you better make sure you don't try to scratch your ass or face(like when the sweat starts rolling down and it gets that bad itch), then you are fucked!
i would say the person would have to be light and strong or else forget it...

since the days of velcro I always had the dreams of climbing walls like Spider-Man!
I would pay over $1000 for this.

I heard that the secret to the geko is that there are microscopic hairs in its feet that get smaller and smaller towards the ends that actually allow the geko to force them into spaces between molecules of whatever its sticking to, even glass! These hairs are jutting out at an angle that allows the geko to stride over things and continue walking on the surface and not get stuck. I have a photo of these hairs taken from an electron microscope.
In the Spider Man movie, you see these small barbed hairs coming out of Peter Parkers hands (Im assuming feet and knees from some scenes). The thing is, wouldnt it make it real hard for him to take his gloves and shoes and socks off?

They always explained in the comic that while Spider-Man's "stickiness" is a natural part of him, he can "control" it by essentially "willing" it to stop sticking to something. Whatever. I think Stan Lee was on 'ludes, like, ALL THE TIME in the 60's.
