What a sad day in hockey. I'm very glad that I got to see him play for as long as I did. Now he can pass the torch to Martin Brodeur.

Greatest goaltender ever. It was a real treat to see him live in DC in his heydays in Montreal..

What I'll always remember about him is one time after warmups at the old cap centre, he saw a kid in a canadiens jersey, and he reached up and gave the kid his goalie stick..

Thats some sad news.

I'll always remember him for his superstions...like how he had to skate around his net and jump lines.

He couldn't wait to announce his retirement until the day after the Finals were over, could he? No, of course not. Mr. Crybaby Attention Whore has to steal the spotlight from Giguere and Brodeur. That's OK Patrick, enjoy it while you can because Brodeur will break every one of your records sooner or later and nobody remembers who No. 2 is.

Gotta admit though, he was a money goaltender. The one thing that sticks out in my mind about Roy, other than being a crybaby just before he got traded to Colorado, was when he crotch chopped Dino Ciccarelli in the playoffs.
