Remember what Memorial Day is all about. It's just not another day off from work or school. It's our way of keeping in mind all the men and women who served in our Armed Forces in the past and even today-especially today.
As a veteran, this day holds a special place in my heart. My memory is flooded by recollections of shipmates that I have served with that are no longer with me and those that are still alive.
Spend just one moment of silence today in respect and homage to those who sacrificed so much for us today. We have what we have because of them!

Absolutely Reeshy, I have several relatives who served in wars and I know the sacrifices and contributions they made to make all our lives safer and protect our freedom. I give thanks to them, to you and all veterans on this day and actually every day.

Amen to what Reeshy said. As I walked out of the Shop-Rite yesterday with a cart full of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, steaks, and various other BBQ delights there was a Korean war vet sitting outside taking donations. He was combat wounded and a double amputee. It kind of put the whole weekend into perspective, and the true meaning of the holiday should not be lost on us.
God bless all who have served this country honorably.

Amen, Reeshy. It's not a terrible idea to start your bbq off with a moment of silence. Remind the kids why theyre off. And remember that these sacrifices are still being made today.
