Did anyone have one of those My Secret Diary things? They were a planner, a TV Remote and kind of text messaging all in one?

And I wonder if we had them today, could they still message eachother?

Do you remember the Talk(?) Boy form Home Alone? It was a big grey tape recorder that played sound effects as well as some voice alteration.

In order to appeal to a wider audience, they also came out with a Talk Girl. Same deal, only pink.


On that same note, do you remember the game girl? It was a pink game boy. I never saw one person who owned that.

On that same note, do you remember the game girl? It was a pink game boy. I never saw one person who owned thatthat's because it's the stupidest idea ever. any girl who was interested in a game boy (myself included), already owned one long before this idiotic marketing ploy.

I wasnt really into game boy, but I had one of those talkboy things, and I thought I was slick and I'd try to tape my family's conversations.

Only they were really big and grey and obviose, and not easy to hide.

Didn't they have a pen at some point too?

I think they should have self help groups for Tetris lovers. Sometimes you just don't want to play the game. But you dream about it. You think about it. It calls you until you are playing again. Then you can't seem to put the damn thing down.

and whats the deal with the purple nintendo game systems i just got my gameboy sp today and i made sure it was silver(the ones that are purple are called gay boys and the purple game cubes are called gay cubes.) Dont you guys think they should come in silver girls can still have silver gameboy but boys can have purples ones. Who else agrees??

Goddamn, you just floored me. I'm having a major flashback right now. I remember that! And I wanted one. Damnit, why didn't I get one? That, to me, was one of the coolest toys they ever came out with. Toys R Us should work out something with all the toy companies that made those 80s toys and let us have one day in stores across the country to play with them. Of course, we'd probably break them all and leave those stores in ruin but it makes for a great day!

I had the My Secret Diary thingy....it only worked if your friends had one too so we'd all try to be smooth and message eachother during class. Such dorks.


I had the talkboy thing too, they did have pen ones after but they weren't as good as the talkboy itself.

Anna, I also tried to tape my parents talking, or my brothers talking bad so i could use it as blackmail. Not easy to hide=getting caught by brothers=lots of sharpshooters.
