I've completely given up on my own judgement with women. As I've stated before on the board, my ex who started out seeming normal turned out to be a nutjob with lots of skeletons in her closet. And most of the women I've been talking to lately just seem vapid and have no real substance to them. I'm really thinking about asking some of my female friends to fix me up with some of their friends. Why only my female friends? Because I know any women that my guy friends know their interested in themselves and I don't want to get involved in that situation. Does this seem too pathetic or desperate?

you should definitely go for it. it can be really hard to meet people in general, and much harder still to meet normal, nice people. by going through a friend whose opinion you trust, you at least have a shot of finding someone you'll be compatible with. good luck.
