The Undisputed Title...what could have been

It came down to this. There were two champions in the WWE, and there could only be one. So a mini tournament is held to decide the first WWE Undisputed Champion. Jericho wins the prestiguos title to become the first. Triple H then goes on and wins it at WrestleMania, only to then later lose it to Hulk Hogan, who loses it to The Undertaker, who then loses it to Rock, and finally, to Brock Lesnar. On the RAW after Summerslam, Stephanie signs Brock to Smackdown as an exclusive member, to then bring back full circle, two champions in the WWE. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!? Just as soon as people were starting to accept this title, they retire it. It was the beginning of the end, as soon other titles were retired (the European, Hardcore, and Intercontinental). The WWE was starting to turn into two different companies with RAW and Smackdown. THe only thing that brought them together was the Undisputed Title. This title not only said that you were the best of the best in your respective brand, but you were the best of the best in the entire company. Now Jericho can never become a two time Undisputed Champion, nor will we ever see the possibility of having great matches like possibly the best Smackdown wrestlers vs the best RAW wrestlers for this prestigous title. Tell me, my friends, what do you think would have been some possibilities for this title, and why in the world would they retire it so soon?

Not at all and he never has been. But hes got personality. That goes along way. I was happy when Y2J showed up in 98 and had his run in with Rock...but its been downhill since then. Listen to the crowd when he wrestles.....NOBODY CARES

first of all jericho is one of the best ppl on the mic, though he was funnier as a face.

secondly jericho only has average wrestling skill when he has to fight ppl that he shouldnt b. like hhh, or rock, they slow him down. his matches against kurt angle and benoit, those are great matches. with unbelievable wrestling skill, look at any match during the y2j- benoit feud..... all of them are classix.

Ok, let's get back to the topic at hand. The Undisputed Title, should it be brought back? Rumors are that at WrestleMania XX, and the titles will be brought together. One of the things that I think brought down the Undisputed Title was that WWE ran out of ideas to figure out how they could make a number one contender for the title with two general managers both deciding who they want as the number one contender.
