A mullet entails all the virtues of a crewcut, but it also gives you the "street cred" of long hair.

Or you could have both at the same time.

Count me in for having a Crewcut mullet, about 10 years ago, before lesbians hijacked the look.

My boyfriend prefers the mullet look. He's not the only one who gets to pull hair that way.

I'm ashamed to admit that I sported a mullet for a brief time in the 1980s -- only because I was letting my hair grow long all over.

Looking back at those pictures, I'm happy with my near-crewcut.

In 3rd grade i went from having a mullet to getting a crewcut and I have to say that the crewcut was so much better. I hated all that hair on my head.

Had the crewcut as a kid. It was traditional to start the summer with one.
Was never dumb enough to even consider a mullet.
Never shaved the sideburns off above the ears either.
