In this crazy world we live in today, mind-altering drugs are available to children and teens. Sure theyre bad for ya, but they make ya feel good...so i've heard. But I've had enough of just hearing about weed and crap. My friend has "connections" and asked me if I wanted to get high for once. I told him i wasnt sure but i probably would.

So what do you guys think? Should i get high?

And, if you have, how old were you when you first got high? Im 15 today(happy birthday me!) but i mean, everyones doing it. so why shouldnt i?

oh yea, if i were to "smoke up" at like 8:30 at night, would i be ok enough to go home at like 11 and not have my mom know that i was high?

Listen kid, I'll be REAL with ya. Pot is NOT harmful. If you smoke it every now and then, you will not do yourself much harm. Just be aware of the legal shit.

To be fair, I also know a lot of people who use it to unwind and also use it to boost creativity when they write things like music and lyrics or poems.

But look at it this way: the only thing that pot truly kills is time. Its just another way of wasting time. some people take it too far and waste alot of time, just smoking away. then again some people spend all day in front of a tv or posting on a message board.

Kill your time however you want, just don't kill too much of it.

The Demonization of Pot you learned in school is NOT completely true. It's pretty harmless in my opinion.

One question to look into is does dependency run in your family? If so, you might NOT want to start smoking pot and drinking, because that might start you down a road you don't want to be on.

I'm not without sin and I'm not casting the first stone here. Don't get me wrong, a little chemical enhancement, whether natural or not can be a good time. Now, I'm gonna get a little Adam Carolla on ya, sonny, so listen up. Here's the deal. At your age, your brain is still developing, up until your about 18 thats the way it is. If you start using drugs excessively before then, you're gonna fuck up it's development and it's not gonna work right. Once you hit 18, coincidentally right around the time you go to college, you can do more with less damage. My advice, pot is fairly harmless, about the same as booze, used in small quantities. If you wanna do it, I understand the need to not alienate yourself, just don't become a pothead. Maybe at the occasional party, just not regularly, until you graduate.

Once you hit college, I say go nuts if it's your thing. Take Moe's advice though, check your family history, monitor yourself, I understand that's difficult, and be able to be objective in your use of any drug. If you see it starting to have adverse effects on your life, stop ASAP. Lastly, listen to other people if they say things are going bad. If you get too into it, you won't necessarily be able to tell. A lot of tragedy could have been avoided in this world if people had taken advice from well-meaning friends.
