STATE of the art game debate. I actually had the Sears version of Atari. It was called something else but had atari trademarks all over it. Cost about as much as a PS2 now but it came with "2" joysticks.. WASn't ataris pacman AWEsome.

I liked Atari more, my friend had an Intellivision system and both of us wound up spending most of the time playing on the Atari system.

Intellivision was good for sports games, but Atari rocked with everything else.

You hit the nail on the head. Intellivision's football was probably my favorite out of the first line of games to ever come out. I believe Atari made Intellivision obsolete when they broke the mold with "Real Sports Football" which was gold for it's time.

I have this atari thing it has a 2600 joy stick and thats it..You plug it in and bam it works. And it has 10 games in it.Good thing about it is that it costed $25. Bad part is it runs on batteries.
