My aunt's neighbor that lived in the apartment below her had a HUGE ongoing fight about noise. She has five kids, he lived alone. He would always complain about them walking in the apartment anytime after 7 pm. My aunt carpeted the entire apartment, and they would literally tip toe around. This man went so far as to come upstairs and threaten to kill them.

Eventually they had to go to housing court and the court ordered the landlord to switch their apartments. My aunt was so upset with the lies the neighbor told that as the left the courtroom, she said to him, "I hope you get cancer of the tongue for being such a liar."

He died of throat cancer about a year later.
