what the hell was up with City Island/Orchard beach this afternoon - helicopters, police, medical examiners - do you think they found those kids from the botched 911 cell call a couple of months ago?

thanks - a couple of months ago these 3 kids stole a boat from a dock in that area, and it began to take on water - they used a cellphone to call 911, but the call was botched and no one went out to look until the morning.

I went to Orchard Beach once.

Long story short, after a long day of rounding up kids and picking up friends and looking for parking, we get to the beach and open up our blanket at around 2:30.

At this point, a black chick chugging on a forty ounce and wearing a bikini she shouldn't have been allowed to purchase, came over to our blanket and asked my sister and I how we managed to get our bikini lines so smooth.

We politely answered that we simply shaved with a mac 3 razor and then proceeded to pack up all of our things and leave.

What an awful disgusting beach.

Don't knock the beach where I was deflowered!! I grew up in Pelham Bay which is the neighborhood surrounding City Island/Orchard Beach!! I loved going to that park and walking over to the beach on a nice, hot summer day with my brother and friends. My kids grew up in that park and my beagle did some of her finest business there too!!! The police range (Rodman's Neck ) is out there too but not heavily advertised, of course!! Over the years, though, I have to admit, Orchard beach has gone down quite a bit but I hear that the area is going through a renaissance of sorts with new handball courts etc. I just have fond memories of that area!!!

PS I also patrolled the beach in the summertime as a rookie cop-shit-did I get laid out of that deal!!!

City Island is always great in the Spring and Fall- the restaurants still are good- don't go in the summer unless you intend to sit for 4 hours trying to get in while you're parked behind all the burros if you know what I mean!!
