I've never agreed with the idea of having a battle royal or Royal Rumble to crown a champion. The AWA did it in 1990 when Larry Zbyszko eliminated Tom Zenk to win the vacant AWA title. I would much rather see a month long tournament with some great matches leading up to the final match at the PPV.

They did that in 1993 after Shawn Michaels vacated the IC title. They had a battle royal and the last 2 wrestlers in it would have a one on one match. Razor Ramon beat Rick Martel in the final match.

I'm not trying to piss on all the positive energy from the return of the IC Title...but I hope that by the PPV they unvail a redesigned title belt. As much as that has always been my favorite title, the belt itself reminds me of a glorified redneck belt buckle.

Give Ray Parks another shot at designing that bad boy...or, go really old school & produce a new version of the 80's IC Title, quite possibly the best looking title of all time.

What about the green strap that Tito Santana held in the early to mid eighties. Also I think they should have a tournament like the one they had at Wrestlemania 4. That would be awesome, think about it though the belt has to go to a heel there are no good mid-card faces on Raw unless they go with Booker T or let RVD be a double champ. Imagine Goldberg with the IC strap, someone should shoot me for even thinking that.
