well - it seems that this amazing legendary combination is destined for retirement and they are truly superstars in every sense of the word. THey never won a championship togethger but they busted ass every night. Stockton played all 60+ games this year and is 41 yrs old. Stockton made younger more "athletic" guards look like potted plants over the years. Malone controlled inside and had a great shot, tremendous defense and rebounder. Too bad these boys couldnt have started out in NY.

They are the only 2 hall of fame players on the same team throughout their careers that have not won a championship. No disrespect to this thread but it's hard to appreciate that kind of failed opportunity year in and year out.

Malone may never get recognized for how truly great he was, simply because he never won the big one.
Same with Stockton. He may never be fully revered for what he has done, espeially now when most people think PGs are supposed to avg 20 ppg. You have to respect someone who will pass the glory to another player.

What's the deal with Comedy Central and Karl Malone? He is parodied on Crank Yankers and Dave Chapelle's Show.

Jimmy Kimmel used to do a funny impression of Karl on the man show...
