Anyone ever had a "roommate from hell"?

My old roommate was awful.
He was always cheating on his girlfriend with these fat pigs. One time I woke up and he was fucking this girl in his bed while I was sleeping. ( it was bunk beds, so he was right underneath me). I just laid there with the bed shaking like "What the fuck!?"

He didn't shower or brush his teeth on a regular basis. He was disgusting. He smelled like shit.
He stopped going to classes altogether after a while. No matter what, he was always hanging around in our room. I never got ten seconds alone.

He'd never do shit. Since he stopped going to classes altogether, I'd ask him to do a couple of things when I left the for mine. Of course, they'd never get done, or he'd do a completely half assed job. I'd ask him to clean the George Foreman grill and he'd just wipe it down with a paper towel. Grease would still be all over it.

He was always treating his girlfriend like shit and it really pissed me off. She was nice as hell to me, and he would just dump on her.

Once or twice I woke up in the middle of the night and he'd be in these fights with his girlfriend. He'd break down crying like the loser he was and be like "I hate myself!"

Also, his family was a COMPLETE bunch of psychos. It was so obvious that that's where it came from.

He was telling me how his whole family went away for the weekend to their house down the shore and his sister had a party. When his dad came home he found a whole bunch of broken glass around the pool. He checked the caller ID and saw like 100 different peoples' numbers and figured out what happened. My roommate told me that his dad called up his sister at work (cause that's where she was when he got home from the shore) and just went nuts on her. He scared the shit out of her. He said his sister went straight to her grandparents after work and refused to go home because she was so scared. He said child services or whatever got involved and it was this big mess.

I had a roomate that took 2 hours showers 2x a day. I was never sure what he was doing in there so i always made sure to disinfect the bath tube before I took a shower. He had two sets of loud obnoxious alarm clocks that would go off for hours. On top of that he never cheaned a single thing. I became tired of doing his dishes so i left them there until i couldnt stand the smell anymore and had to throw them all out. The kid was depressing the hell out of me. Luckily he moved home for his mom to take care of him

If ever there was a post that i could relate to, it would ahve to be THIS.

My First roomate in college was a skinhead who kicked girls asses all weekend and brought their defeated Docs back to our room. we had piles of old Docs in her closet. She then got knocked up and bailed on me for the year.
the second one i had was this girl from the virgin islands who hada SERIOUS cleptomania issue. She stole underware, $, clothing etc....worst part of her were all the random she would bring home and F while i was trying to sleep, not 1, not 2 but up to 3 TIMES a night. Im positive she turned tricks for $.
The third was this girl who donned a sweat shirt that read "mother and daughter by chance, friends by choice..." EVERY DAY. She slept fully clothed, cause the "lezzzzzbeans might come and get her". She also had an awful habbit of NOT throwing away her used tampons and pads, she would store them in her closet in a box. My room smelled SO awful that one day we just ripped open her closet, and found her booty of feminine products......and then proceeded to pack up and move out on her.
I thought it was over, college was done, and yes i DID go to an all womens art school, and you expect there to be differences with living habbits etc, but it all still never prepared me for my current roomamte of 3 years.
We work for the same company, and i had just moved into a 4 bedroom apartment in westchester. I had pleanty of room, so when she approached me to move in, i was like sure. Well, shes not only a RAGING racist, W.A.S.P., homophobe, over religious, self rightious stuck up twitchy trust fund-baby. But she CAN NOT survive on her own at all. I can't fault her for this, its how she was raised, but if there were EVER 2 people, who clould be polar oposits, its is she and I.
Everyone who knows me is like, HOW can you live with this girl??? and my ansewr is always, her parents pay her rent on time, and she doesnt come out of her bed room EVER. I never see her. Im rarely home at all, im always in the city for the night, but when i am, and i see her, every thing she says makes me cringe....she once told me how she was amazed at how many "coloreds' " there were on TV now. She has NO friends, shes NEVER had a boyfriend, though she HAS held a boys hand once at the movies.....ugh. And then theres me.......For everything she hates, its personified in ME. Im probably HER worst roommate now that i think about it, up mad late, walking aroud nude, my cats run the place, people always crashing......ya knwo if SHE doesnt like it, its my lease shes free to go.....but ya know what kids??? She NEVER will.

Out of all the roommates I've had, only one really drove me nuts. And he was a college rommate who I had been good friends with in high school! Essentially he ended up wanting to be some kind of pseudo-punk, had no problems wandering around naked (This included up and down the hallways of our dorm). shitting with the door wide open, not using his closet or dresser (Basically there was just always a constant 3 foot pile of clothes in our open closet that he went through, and he tossed his clean AND dirty clothes there), and worst of all, he simply became a prick. We went from being good friends to him just apparently disliking me so much that one day his shit-talking went to far and I clocked him upside the head with a plunger. After that we pretty much didn't talk for a good two years...now, we ARE friends again, and he's a hardworking immigration officer working the US/Mexican border. Go figure.

Oh yea, Noahfex, Frail Josh probably beats Erica the wasp anyday. He used to just stand outside your door and listen too, remember?!!! And i wanted to cry with those alarm clocks, but he was manic-depressive. And now hes home with his mom. You have New josh now, and hes not so bad....and its a good thing you know sucha handy girl to fix your bath tub when you boys f-it up.......

My bestfriend had a roomate from hell in college. She was good-looking and knew it dumb as a pile of bricks and from Long Island. She once blew this one guy while her roomate was 15 feet away sleeping in the other bed.

That reminds me, one day in the confessional I'll write about how I got blown by my best friend's roomate while she was 15 feet away. I feel FILTHY every time I think about it.

my best friend had this roommate who would steal the toilet paper. they would put in a new roll, and then it would be gone.. and this girl would never, ever buy more. so, one weekend they decided (this being my bext friend and the third roommate) to take all the toilet paper and hide it from the girl, to see what would happen. after asking around for toilet paper, she ended up using pieces of notebook paper instead of going out and buying some.

I had a roommate in art school that never cleaned anything his clothes were everywhere, dirty dishes everywhere the kind of dirty that when you try to pick them up they stick to whatever they are sitting on. So his room smelled like rotten food. The worst was when before going home for two weeks I asked him to take the garbage out in the morning, and I had just thrown out some meat that was getting old. I get back two weeks later and he naver took the garbage out, it was Aug, like 95 degrees the whole apartment smelled like road kill. I fucking snapped screamed like a lunatic and made that big fat fuck clean the whole place under the threat of killing him in his sleep.

i've had dirty roommates here and there, but the one that sticks out in my mind is the roomate that set me up with an undercover cop, sent me to prison for a year...all to get out of a pot distribution charge. some people just suck like that.

I had a horrible one. She was a cutter and left her bloody band-aids all over the place. She had panic attacks in the middle of the night and cried incessantly. She must've learned to wash dishes in a Vietnamese prison or something cause she was terrible at it. I don't know how you can be bad at that, but she pulled it off. And she couldn't seem to even make a bowl a cereal without spilling the contents all over the damn place. I know she had problems and all, but I just wanted to hit her with a spade shovel, ya know?

when my ex and i broke up a couple of years ago, i moved out and got an apartment with this girl i used to work with. she had some insecurity issues, but at that point, i didnt want to continue living on my mom's couch, so we moved in together. the night before we were supposed to move in, she wanted me to help her pack, but i had other plans, so she left me about 5 messages on the answering maching, pretty much in tears, wondering where i was. i had a couple of friends over from work, one of who went to high school with this girl. he ended up telling me that she spent some time in a mental hospital for pushing her mom through a glass door.
anytime she went out without me, she'd have to call me every half hour on the hour to check up on me, because she was "worried". she also didn't like the fact that after work, i'd go into my room to listen to o & a - and didn't sit around with her. she always cried and carried on. she was also about 250, and would parade around in a tshirt and then lift her shirt to show us the 5 pounds she lost. she would bitch at people at the bar we'd hang out for smoking, and she cried if the bartender skipped over one of the 100 songs she played in the juke box. i heard she had a christmas party and made some of her friends sleep outside in december.

you have no idea how entertaining it is reading these stories..i just wonder if someplace else,,.maybe a message board - each of these "roomates from hell" are telling similar stories about each of you, that sound remarkebly the same.
Ive had 2 friends each (seperatly) tell me about an incident that occured once, and friend A made friend B sound like a maniac and vica versa.
Reality is in the eye of the beholder.

God Liza, that sounds horrible, you have had some awful roommates!

My roommate freshman year was a fat, psycho and I couldn't have had a worse experience. She got in a traumatizing car accident (and one person died) the first week of school which made her even more psycho than before. She was a sophomore and had no friends. So I started meeting a bunch of people and she would get bitchy and rude on the phone because people would call all the time. I would leave to go to my friends room's and she'd just FOLLOW me! Without even asking and I was too much of a pussy to tell her to go back home. So when she tagged along she'd sit there not talking and then yell at me later for not 'including' her in the conversation because I know she's shy. The list goes on and on and basically, spring semester I applied for a single room and finally was free.

Sophomore year my roomie was from freaking Texarkana. I couldn't understand her southern accent AT ALL and she was such a cowgirl. She went to bed at 10 pm every night (lights out and everything) she had posters of Nascar, George Straight, and her absoluter favorite CHUCK NORRIS on the wall. To top it all off she wore Wranglers, cowboy boots and a belt buckle EVERY DAY! I never brought anyone over and basically moved in with my BF at the time. Ugh, no wonder I love living alone now.

A few years ago my sister, a friend of mine, and myself got a fairly nice apartment in california. Well my sisters friend loved the building, so she got a place there too; but her place was nicer...so we all moved there instead. And well the girl was nice but she was f-cking nuts....not literally, that would be cool. anyways she turned out to be this lunatic coke head. She thought this guy was stalking her and had all of us convinced... she had pulled us into her crazy drugged induced delusions...we weren't on anything, but we didn't know she was at the time, so we thought she still had fairly good judgment. To make this short(er) we ended up loosing both apartments, she called the cops on us, locked us into the parking garage with her truck for four hours, stole all of the stuff in the apartment....which rightfully belonged to my sister, my friend, and me...then she contacted us one day told us that all of our belongings were in a storage unit, but she wouldn't tell us which one. So we had to call every storage unit in the LA/valley area....that is a lot of god damn storage units..we ended up getting our stuff back for the small price of $500. Oh and i almost forgot...she kept going out and buying groceries and clothes; nothing too outrageous. Well she was buying that stuff with our no limit credit card. She would steal the card when we were sleeping and then she would sneak it back into my sister's purse when we weren't looking. We never knew the card was stolen...until we got a bill for almost $20,000. Then we looked for the card and there it was right where we had left it...sneaky girl. She was defiantly an interesting person to live with....never again will i make that mistake...stupid LA coke whores.
