I love this series. It's pure brilliance. I've never read the book(or is it books?) My favorite character is Marvin. After all, he's your plastic pal who's fun to be with!

if you liked the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy i reccomend you read the illuminatus! trilogy by robert anton wilson and bob shea. it will change your life. enough said.

The best part is the cow who is the waiter at the restaurant at teh end of the universe . He tries to sell himself, and i'm doing a really bad job of recalling and retellung this.

I hope that you all know what i'm talking about.

Also, the fact that their family goes backward because of a time-machine accident is one of the funniest things i've ever read

I've read the first three, never got past that. Still liked it enough to write "DON'T PANIC" on the cover of my calc book in high school.

The f'ed up part. The answer and it's question have replace the real thing in my head. This pretty much kills the job at NASA.
