I have to write a bio for a band for their press kit. Any ideas or suggestions on how I should do this? It's the first time I've had to write one so I'm not too sure how they're supposed to look. Do I bio the individuals or the band as a whole? Help would be much appreciated!!!

You want to bring up the band's strengths. Describe their musical style. And you can give a couple lines about each band member, if they want to promote themselves as individuals, as well as a band. If there is any major successes or pedigrees within the band, you'll want to bring those up too.

Consider the bio to be like a resume. You want to keep the length to a minimum, while highlighting key points such as: style of music, different venues the band has played at, and how long they've been together. If it gets too long, the promoter/club owner will get bored with it and may miss the best part. You can check mine out at http://www.top-dead-center.com/bio.html
