Hoping someone might be able to help out (this isn't for me, but anyway...) and be able to suggest a new company...

Right now I'm using close to...

750mb in disk
45 gb in traffic/throughput

I'm getting this for $50. (actually $20 for their pro package of
30gb and $30 more for the extra 15 gb)

Current company: www.hostforweb.com . Actualy, up until reciently
they haven't been too bad. Certainly not bad for their price. Best
detail in fact. I'm a large account and we really suck up the band
width... not as back as video streaming... but that's hundreds of
bucks.

I need databaes, Front Page extensions, full control panel and full
web stats. Email accounts of course. I need a tier two site... ie
someone w/ their own servers and access to their datacenter. Need
near 24 hour support, not someone who's going to go away on spring
break or be 12 hours to get back to me... so standard resellers are
out of the question.

The problem w/ those that offer unlimited bandwidth... they don't
really want to mean that. It's a way to get business. They bet
that someone won't really use that much... It's rare. I tell them
that I reguarlly use 1 to 2 gigs a day, they don't really want me.
Trust me, I've been writing companies... They carefully don't reply.

A friend of mine pays $10 a month for a shitload of diskspace and bandwidth. I don't remember the company name, but I can ask him when I see him online.

$50/mo for that much bandwidth.... I wouldn't look any further.

Perhaps if you are finding their service to start to get sloppy, it might be because they are not making any money.

That's part of the problem with these 'low-cost' services. They cut the prices too low and then can't stay in business too long without cutting services and crap.

It's nice to see the 'unlimited bandwidth' people finally getting smart and making sure YOU know it's not 'really' unlimited.

Remember, you get what you pay for. Even if the service is crappy on your current server, keep it. At that price, you are getting a bargain.
