I'm in the market for a new Mac

and i need the advice of those here who are wise in the way of apple. Should I go with the g4 imac for $1700 or the g4 power pc for $2700. i can afford either. The power pc sounds impressive, i'm just wondering if i need that much mac. Does anyone here have one?

Did you factor in the price of the monitor and keyboard for the power pc? Also which configurations are you looking at? Both come with several...

Get the G4 Power PC, I've used those, they're awesome. You can get by with the other for what you described you'd do, but you'll have a lot more options available to you with the Power PC. I know lots of people who've gone and gotten a system that they felt would get them by, and then one day they'll want to do something that they don't normally do and can't. Then they regret it. It's your call though.
