Vaughn and Burnitz have swung the bat very well throughout the spring and into the season. Getting a healthy Astsacio back soon is a major key. If Cone can contribute 10- 12 wins that's a major plus. I'm still worried about the defense and the Alomar/Sanchez/Wiggington combo.

When Armando Blownsavez joined the Mets, I knew exactly what would happen. A guy that can throw insanely fast but can't pitch.
You want a long term save ARTIST, not some arm that's going to burn out in 2 years, and a pitcher (if you can call him that) that cracks under pressure instantly.

I hope Jim Bruer watched this one, so I can see him make fun of Blownsavez constantly.

Best thing aboot being a Mets fan. It saved me 5 bucks on a cell phone case at the Staten Island mall yesterday. The guy selling them was a Mets fan and complimented my Mets cap. Other than that, no other benefits after yesterdays debacle. The same day at the same mall, I had to get fitted for a tux for my friends wedding. the guy working there was a Yankees fan. So he and my friend who I was with (Yankess fan) had a good ole' time ribbing me on being a Mets fan. If the tux doesn't fit right, I'm gonna go back and strangle his Yankee lovin' ass.

I hear hes got bone spurs in his knee or somthing . Hes getting all the second oppions, but from the sox broadcast last night it didnt sound good and theres a good chance he wont be back this year.
