In following up on some changes from items in this coming week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Kurt Angle has made the decision to undergo the minimally invasive neck surgery a week from today under Dr. Jhae-Dong Jho in Pittsburgh. Angle had been scheduled to undergo the same procedure as several other WWE performers this coming Monday under Dr. Lloyd Youngblood in San Antonio.

This decision worries me a bit. I really hope Kurt didn't make the wrong decision. I mean I know he wants to be in the ring, but this may be worse than being out a year. If this surgery doesn't go right or something happens, Kurt could become paralyzed.
I really really hope no one got into his ear and gave him some bad advice.

I'm worried about this decision as well - Angle is one of the two best guys they have, one of the best workers in all of North America, and simply one of the best in the world.....It would suck to have him out for an entire year, but I'd rather lose him for that long than to have him get permanently injured and be forced to retire for good. Or worse yet, to have him paralyzed.
However, if there can be dispelling of fear, Dr. Jho does seem to have some pretty impressive credentials. Check them out here:

What really bothers me is how you can go from Possible retirement, to missing one year of action down to missing only two months? I just hope he doesn't rush back and get hurt in the ring buy one of those OAFs that have been mentioned before. God knows he is on SMackdown with Albert, Show, and Jones. Not to mention Rikishi

Kurt is very intelligent I am sure he has gone over every possibility, and his decision was the one he felt was the right one.

I know all about the surgery Angle is having. I had the same surgery April 9th of 2002. I'm just getting back to work now. Cervical Spine Surgery/Fusion is a risky procedure. I chose to have it since I was in a car accident, and if I didnt have the surgery, and got hit in the neck area one more time, I was sure to be paralyzed. I dont know how he will compete with all the falls and hits he takes to the neck area. It does take time to recoop from it. I still have pain as I sit and type this....not as much as before and right after the surgery, but your body will NEVER be the same after it. I have a titanium cage and plate covering my spinal area. Your body is thrown out of wack, since you have a foreign object inside of you. But you can do regular life things to a point. Best that he does commentating or something. Hate to see him go that route, but for his life, its the best thing. I beleive that is why Arn Anderson went out. For example if Angle gets hit with that move that Booker T does with the scissors kick, he will be finished. Mr. Angle, please make the right decision if you have the surgery and just stay on the side. We dont wanna see you rolling around in a wheelchair commentating about how good you were. Leave while on top. Everyone will understand.
