Give me ....

The Waffle House(a bit obsolete in the north, given our proliferation of diners in NY/NJ, but if you're down south and you want late night chow, chances are, you'll wash up on the shore of this dump for some chicken fried steak. Real Silverware, and lots of hospitality, and the most god awful color scheme ever assembled. On the plus side, a picture menu)

Karls Jr.(I"m in the dark here, but after reading Fast Food Nation, my mouth was watering for the orginal fast food shack. I'd love to try it out)

Ranch 1(not too many in Jersey, aside from Garden St. Plaza, but was my favorite cheap, reasonably healthy lunch when I worked in NYC. More of these please!!)

Wuvs(I"m reaching way back here, hoping some will remember this place. They had a couple on Route 46, one in Fairfield and another in West Paterson???? This place has been gone for a good 20 years, any memories are appreciated)

In and Out Burger(another Fast Food Nation place, as it seems to be the only Fast food joint using quality products, since they killed a couple of kids)

Jack Rabbit Slims( a guy can dream can't he?)

Easy. Popeye's. Only one I know of in within 50 miles of me that I know of is in Camden, and I ain't heading out there on a late Saturday night when I want a 4 piece meal with a side of red beans and rice.

I'd have to second the Waffle House as well. When it's 4am and you're drunk as hell, the only thing that matters is that picture menu.

Buffalo Wild West Wings (BW3's) - The best hotwings and burgers I had in the midwest. They have about 20 different sauces in varying degrees of heat. Plus, it is a great bar to watch sports with the multiple TVs and the NTN trivia network.

EDIT: Maybe this should just go under food franchises, and not fast food. Oh well, I still want some of these bad boys here!

Don't know if it's anywhere near you or not, but they're finally putting a Quiznos on Rt. 22 (center isle) across from the Best Buy in Springfield. It's in the little strip mall with the tile store and Radio Shack. I think the actual store used to be a Funcoland.

<font color=purple>There's actually an Arby's on 6th avenue near 4th street (right next to the Waverly theater. The ones around here aren't as good as the ones in Florida though (for whatever reasons).

There's also a Sonics in the Bronx (Bay Plaza shopping center in co-op city).

My two picks would be a Waffle House and a Long Long Silvers. Both are plentiful down south and simply have no equal.

We have:
Arby's
Sonic
Chick Fil-A
Jack in the Box
Quiznos
and the list goes on....I only had In and Out Burger once and it was good, but there's so many burger places here just as good.

I would like a Roscoes Chicken and Waffles

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but I just found out that they're opening up a Krispy Kreme in Southern Jersey. It opens next month in Brick. I'm counting the days. Ever since I had one on my way to work one day in the city I have been having withdrawal. I don't think there is currently ONE Krispy Kreme in NJ. I have to settle for the ones they sell in convenience stores that have been sitting there all frickin day. I think I feel worse than a crack addict. One more month, one more month.........
