The 3 Investigators

I used to read those books of the Three Investigators who had the logo ??? We Investigate Anything and were sometimes financed by Alfred Hitchcock who also wrote the intros for the books.

Man that was good reading. Too bad books like that for the young 'uns don't get written anymore.

I remember "The Stuttering Parrot" and "Whispering Monkey", my neighbor was a big fan. I leaned more to "the Hardy Boys", "Rick Brandt", "Ken Holt" and "Brains Benton". I read them to my son, now at bed time (Harry Potter's a favorite too). I'm surprized that I find my self editting some of the "rich language" I enjoyed in reading the "original text" of the Hardy Boys,but does a 5 year old really have to have me explain why Frank Hardy is using "the N word"?
