Yeah, how awful of the Americans to be liberating a country from a corrupt regime and then rebuilding and defending it.

Consumer fury seems to be on the rise. Demonstrators in Paris smashed the windows of a McDonald's restaurant last week, forcing police in riot gear to move in to protect staff and customers of the American fast-food outlet. The attackers sprayed obscenities and "boycott" on the windows



so to boycot war you must smash things and cause a riot. i guess that makes sense in germany. many people don't realize but hitler wanted to control the world to make sure there was no war, it's everyone else who couldn't figure out the german logic.

The boycotts are having only a negligible business impact. Establishments linked to the United States and the American way of life such as Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, McDonald's and Coca-Cola reported no major business impact from the protests.

"We're really a local business in Germany, the product is made in Germany and they're boycotting German products," said Jonathan Chandler, communications director for Coca-Cola Europe, Eurasia and the Middle East in London.

"Boycotts primarily harm the people they're most designed to support. These are bar operators making choices on behalf of their customers."

On a side note, I'm not very familiar with American economics , but I thought one of the things people complain about was that we import more than we export.

actually I think JFK went to Germany once and was trying to impress them by speaking German, and said something that he thought meant "I am a noble American", and actually said "I am a noble pastry". One of them faux-pas.....es that make Europeans think we're stupid. I think the pastry is like a chocolate crossiant filled with chocolate cream, or i could be making that up or something......
