The DC area is not the same as it was back in the 60's, when the riots really destroyed the city. With all the new money in Northern Virginia, there are more than enough people around here now to support a baseball team(it would bring something like 800 million in tax money to N VA). And back in the 60's, when the Orioles were winning titles, the Senators were still outdrawing them. A lot of people who were around at that time still have tons of fond memories of Old Senators like Harmon Killebrew, Paul Casanova, Zoylo Versalles, Dick Bosman, Tim Cullen, and the Capital Punisher, Frank Howard
