HA! THESE GUYS are making news? I've had more people watching Unhallowed play at an underground show at one time. I didn't see a camera there. We would have vomited if at least a newspaper reported was rumored to show up.
Let them keep this shit up. It just proves to the majority that the minority is becoming desperate to "be noticed" because no one cares.

The moderate Dems need to distance themselves more publicly from these wacky fuckers. But I STILL have not heard any Dems come out and say that, or even dispute the retarded statement of Tom Dashle, their Majority leader. Very sad.

At least NBC News said, when commenting on the protesters tonight, that "in fairness
to full disclosure" that most of the people actually protesting were very calm, middle of
the road people - that it's the more vocal and brazen that the media focus on.
Shocking...and here I thought only dirty hippie commies were against the war.

So the BBC could very well be the only FACT related news wehave? Wait, England has it but still. I just want the truth. No if
s? No could be's? No well possibly's? Who do you trust? Why can't it be about brnging forth the NEWS and not speculatory story telling that MAY have a factoid in there.
Protesting, I am all for it as long as it DOES NOT disturb others. There are these ones in Phlly who are holding up Center City traffic and lying down in front of cars. Good, you are passionate about your beliefs BUT Mom has to pick up her kids at day care. Dad had a real BITCH of a day.
Protest and make your voice heard but DONOT get in the way of others lives.

Moe, I've said this previously and I'll repeat it now. I don't involve myself in protests due to the fact that you don't know the agenda of everyone there. Some people do go to cause problems. Most people do go to peacefully protest
You just want to valid your logic and beliefs by grouping everyone together.
I believe protesting is great, but the people who go around destroying property, causing problems, etc...they all give a black eye to the cause they stand for.
And your mention of the 'forefront of the peace movement" couldn't be more wrong. Mojo is exactly correct in his post.

War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. Protesting IS essentially "fighting for one's freedom." You don't have to have a gun and be paid by the government to be doing that.

These protestors are not fighting for anything don't kid yourself. Comparing them to our soldiers is complete B.S. They are probably more misguided youth educated by Tenured university professors who have no idea whats going on in the real world- beside their latest cause.

that's not how we think (at least not how I think, and i'm a pretty average guy) how can you be "against a person?" you can be against a cause, but you can't dislike a person because he has a job to do. They're just human beings. they don't make the policies, but unfortunately, they're the ones that have to suffer when they're carried out.

They protest the war...not the troops.
It's only counter productive to those of you who feel they should be at war. In any case, it's just free speech and public assembly. SUCK IT!

Some of the protestors don't make me sick - all of them do. These people were the ones who supported Germany and Japan and Italy in WWII and protested the US involvement then as well.
Evil exists. We're fortunate to have the power to do something about it.

The right to dissent is one of the most important freedoms granted by the Bill of Rights. It does not allow people to take away the rights of others in the process, however.
That being said, God help any protester that blocks the street or otherwise creates a disturbance on the roads while I'm working.

Your generalizing all of the protestors into one group when in fact it's a very small few that go around and cause these problems.
And as they call you "brain washed by the government", you scream leftist commies towards them. Is either side completely correct? I doubt it.

We cover our faces in bandanas soaked in apple vinegar to protect us from tear gas. personally, I use a large hankerchief. The ones wearing black are known as the "black bloc" and have no relation to the peace movement. they are an anarchist group who only seek to destroy.

Sorry, Horde King, but I think you're wrong.
I don't know about those who supported Japan, but in the period leading up to WWII, generally speaking, those who supported or opposed us getting involved in europe were conservatives. Most people today are unaware of that, and of course conservatives are mum on the subject.
By and large, these protesters are liberals, though Pat Buchannon and his bunch are opposed as well.

How about this one. Your protests were not heard, and now it does no good. We're not pulling out of Iraq until we win, or by some stretch of the imagination on EARTH 2 smack dab in the middle of BIZZARO WORLD we lose SO BADLY we see it as a losing war.
Everytime you gather now, there is this stigma attached to even the openly peaceful people that your Anit-War protests will turn ugly. So THAT means your now almost 100% useless protests ONLY SERVE to tie up emergency workers and police that need to babysit your cause for fear of hurting the city you're in, and frankly yourselves. Insetad of patrolling for terrorist activity or just general lawlesness, you want to get an arrest on your record to look like you did something with your life.
How FUCKING SELFISH. Somewhere in these cities, I'm sure smaller crimes were comitted because 50 police were needed to watch you, or maybe worse.
