CNN and MSNBC are reporting that Special Ops in Pakistan could be closing in on Osama Bin Laden.

**Nothing is confirmed yet, but the story is developing.**

How fantastic would this be? If we killed Saddam in that first strike, and captured bin Laden in the same night... It would be the greatest day ever.

That would rule so much. But as I type this, "Saddam" is talking on Al-Jazeera. I type "Saddam" becuase I really don't think this is actually Saddam on TV. Maybe it is the old man glasses, but that really doesn't look like him. Maybe we did get him....

EDIT - Now that I have had some time to look, I think it actually is him. Darn....

The news reports keep mentioning that the quick missile strike earlier was a "surgical attack" designed to take out Saddam specifically, like our intelligence had gotten a tip as to where he may be or may have been headed...I hope beyond all hope that they DID get him, and a few of the other Iraqi top brass...if we manage to pull that off, invading the country en masse just might not be necessary, at least not with all guns blazing. Keep hoping...

Nah, nothing like that. SOME people have been ragging on me to use the search engine to discuss topics that have been posted already. And guess what? When I tried to search for a topic to see if there was a post on it, I get an error message! So instead of starting a new tread (heaven forbid if I did!) when there already is one, I looked trough all the past post (thank god the political forum had the least pages- 15 pages) and just added my 2 cents.
