Most of us grew up in a bipolar world (no the lithium kind) of USSR vs USA. and we all
sided with the USA. now thats all over, and the USA is the biggest kid on the play
ground. you know what that means? we get to tell everyone else whether its tag,
kickball or soccer. simply put, people play by our rules, or tehy dont play.

No where in the history of the world has such power been used with as little abuse,
and as much consideration for general welfare. So if any of you anti-war fools
want to say we're throwing our weight around incorrectly, look into history a little.

I am a fully liberal, registered democrat, but i know that when i go to times sq
tomorrow night to catch a show... theres a couple hundred thousand people my age
making it so i dont have to carry a gass mask. and no, i dont think saddam will launch
a missle into NYC, b/c he can't. what i do think is that who ever is with us is making
the right choice.. and who isn't, is joining the far pole.

Just because NATO includes "old europe" doesn't mean NATO is going ot be around for
ever. dig? look for a changing group of alliances..

Never in history has any one power had the amount of power, influence and means either that the US now holds. I don't understand your point Craig. Is your point that cause we grew up anti-USSR and supported them then, so the US then deserves to call the shots regardless of anything at all? And we should accept policies, beliefs and such regardless? Is your basic point that the US is omniscient?

No FiveB...his very true point is that despite all of the unchallenged power we have, we probably engage in the LEAST abuses of power of any "empire" in history, and probably have provided the most "help" for people around the world. Yeah, "we" pull some dirty shit, but all in all, it's more than safe to say that we ARE usually the "good guys".

Yes we are a powerful nation and we do abuse our power very little. Perhaps we truly can bring about a United Earth.

OR just blow it up cause "if we cant have it, no one can attitude".
