View Full Version : What do you do with the vegetables when the Corned Beef is gone?

I mean COME ON! I enjoy vegetables, but they're NOTHING without the meat in Corned Beef and Cabbage.
I opened up the big tupperware container I had the food in, and now it's just a big pale mush of cabbage and potatoes with the occasional carrot.
I'd feel REALLY bad throwing it all away. So wasteful.
Anyone got any suggestions on what to do with the flavored veggies?

Don't you have a can of corned beef in your cupboard?

That's interesting. I usually see canned corned beef as more of a "needing to be fried" thing.
Any suggestions on prepairing the canned corned beef with the watery veggies?

Chop the corned beef up into little bits and pieces, mix it with the veggies, wrap it in aluminum foil and stick it in the oven.
Let it cook for maybe 10-15 min on 350, that way, the veggies will dry out and the corned beef will be warm.
If you have kids or a dog nearby, have them taste it first.

Jeffrey Dahmer was sitting having dinner with his Mom at his place when his Mom said:
"Jeffrey, I don't like your friends"
so Jeffrey replied:
"Okay Mom, just eat the vegetable"

the poppa, momma, and baby asparagus needed to cross the road so:
the poppa asparagus stepped off the curb, looked both ways and walked across
the momma asparagus stepped off the curb, looked both ways and walked across
the baby asparagus crawled off the curb, looked both ways and almost crawled all the way across however being he was still a baby he was slow and got hit by the car
the doctor at the hospital told the poppa and momma asparagus that he had good news and bad news
good news - he was going to live
bad news - he was going to be a "vegetable" the rest of his life
