I actually took a poltics class last semester, and the book we used had a very good description of liberals and conservatives. As soon as I find it, I shall post it. But to imply that liberals are socialists or communists and conservatives are the last bastion defending the consititution is wrong.

I'm a pro-life libertarian. Although I am fiscally conservative when it comes to the military and other matters that Republicans tend to champion. On the other hand, I am in favor of gay rights to adopt, marry, and join the military, I am in favor of protecting the environment, and I think that a terminally ill adult should have the option of euthenasia even though it is not something I would choose myself. I don't know if I have said this before, but I consider myself a Goldwater Republican.
