I laugh at people who rave about people like Springsteen being the best live performer in rock. He's a dullard. There is only one great live rock performer and his name is Iggy Pop.
Energy, sweat, blood, spit, nothing came close to an Iggy show.
Iggy's old now and has too much scar tissue but if you ever get the chance check him out.

YEAH!!
The original blowtorch in bondage, the Mightey Pop.
I've caught him twice, literally- doing stage dives and I gotta say probably the best dozen or so best shows I've seen were Iggy's.
One of the things I really like about him is you can still catch him in a small club for 20-25 bucks.
He doesn't clutter things up with smoke machines, pyrotechnics, fancy light shows, or other useless props.
I can always be found front row, center when he comes around.
I wish he'd bring back that 'jungle music' that he used to play before coming on.
He is the real deal, never sold out, and he leaves it all onstage.
In my opinion, he's the greatest rock and roll singer/songwriter/performer of all time.
Think I'll go put on Raw Power

I have seen Iggy several times in years gone past. He puts on the most amazing concerts that I have ever seen. I come out of his shows with my head all discombobulated!!!!!!!!!

never saw him in concert but met him in a South Carolina airport about 4 years back...

Nice person, shook his hand and got his autograph...

I was there with my brother and all of a sudden my brothers eyes got wider and he said "look at this gorgeous lady coming down the ramp"
Turned out that was Iggy's lady...

Saw him at the "new" Peppermint Lounge. We were hoping he'd start playing with his cock.

Instead after two songs he yells out"This ain't no Iggy Pop show!".....and walks off.

It's T.V.'s fault I am this way.

LOL sounds familiar. I saw him at some club and some drunk yelled out "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and Iggy spat water on him and told him to go and fuck himself. He never did the song.

Once I was in Paris and saw him on t.v. during an American Bandstand -type show performing "Squarehead" and he whipped it out and, twirling it like a baton, danced up to within inches of the camera, waving it at the viewers .
Funny shit.
