Every neighborhood has to have at least one. You know, the kind of bar you normally wouldn't go to. The kind of place where there is only 5 people, and that includes the bartender. The same place where a guy pushing 60 is called "The Kid".
Well, me and some friends went to a bar like this over the weekend.
These places are great and I'll tell you why.
There is always a spot open at the bar. You get to sit/stand/whatever and never have to worry about loosing your place.
The beer and drinks are cheap $1.25 for a small bottle $2.50 for a pint or regular size bottle and $2.50 or $3.00 for drinks.
The pool tables and dartboards are always available.
The jukebox has nothing but classics in it.
The walls are a history lesson, they always have old time photos and newspapers hanging on the walls. Learn while you drink.
Your bound to hear a greatly entertaining war story, weather it is an actual war story or not.

Normally we wouldn't go to a bar like this, but it just so happened that my friends and our girls wound up there having a great time. It's also a good break from the regular bars and clubs.

So I raise a glass and say Sl*inte old timmers.

I don't frequent bars. It's not my scene.

My ONLY experience with bars is when Unhallowed may play one. So my least favorite bar would HAVE to be DREAMS in Philidelphia.

The lady that ran it was SO NICE. She was really great. On show nights she put a table cloth on the pool table and put out some sandwiches and snack food. No shit. She was tough too! Some kid had some stupid Nazi shit on and she threw him out. She was Jewish an was OBVIOUSLY offended by this shit head.

But EVERYTIME we played there it was basically free practice. We played for the other bands that showed up and the 4 or 5 drunk old guys in the neighborhood. Couldn't blame anyone for NOT coming. She never took out ads for shows and the neighborhood was less than "exclusive."

Sad scene.

I thought this thread was about a new type of candy, like Snickers Bars or Mars Bars, but made out of old men. Would've been a big step forward for recycling, if you ask me.
