Were they terrorist potheads? no, I guess not. It you're goona go after drugs, at least go after the hard ones. This is why i feel pot should be decriminallized: It's no more dangerous than alcohol, and it would free up law enforcement to go after the more dangerous drugs.

This quote is not entirely accurate. I have investigated many fatal accidents where, upon completion of the autopsy, the only substance found in the decedent's body was amounts of cannabis. I still say you can't drive safely on this shit-just like alcohol!!

Damn right, Reeshy. I'm all for people lighting up, but it never ceases to suprise me how many people think they can just go about their daily business high as a kite. I sure as hell know I can't drive on the stuff...

But still, I'm glad our government is cracking down on this, and not, say, the record crop of heroin that came out of Afghanistan last year. Y'know, the crop that was picked and shipped out WHILE we occupied the place? Oh, but that's not the reason we're there, you say? Ah, but the government decided to push this whole "drugs=terrorism" link. They have a shot to back up their own words and cut off a huge chunk of the world's heroin at the source with the full power of our millitary, but instead threw the money into TV ads about kids raping and shooting each other. SWELL. Maybe if it weren't so disgustingly hypocritical, it wouldn't bother me as much.

I wasn't talking about accidents resulting from impairment, I was talking about death from simply ingesting or smoking it. Other drugs, illegal and legal(ecspecially alcohol) can kill from overdose, marijuana cannot.

THC stays in your system for 6 weeks. It's possible the person used it anytime within the last month or so. That person could have been sober when he was driving...

PALM SPRINGS, California (AP) -- Police found more than 75 marijuana plants inside a house after a woman who lived there mistakenly called 911 instead of 411.

Police said the woman dialed 911 shortly after 11:20 a.m. Tuesday. When she hung up, a police dispatcher called the number right back, and someone hung up again, police Sgt. Dan Rose said.

Two officers went to the house and found 76 plants valued at $76,000 growing in a room with sophisticated lighting. Officers also found three handguns and other weapons inside the house.

"We know something is going on, but we don't know what," Rose said.

A man, who was not immediately identified, gave police a prescription for medical marijuana. However, the quantity of plants made police suspicious, so they began investigating the authenticity of the prescription, Rose said. The man was arrested for investigation of cultivation and possession of marijuana for sale.

Another man who tried to run from police was arrested for investigation of parole violations and was sent back to state prison Wednesday.

The woman who misdialed was not arrested.

i'd like to step up and say.....i go through the vast majority of my days high as a kite. i have a 3.8GPA and in the last couple of years i've put 150,000 miles on my car delivering pizza. you can do nearly anything stoned. i'm living proof.

I didn't say you couldn't get decent grades...I just know that *I* for one would be able to drive that well under the influence, and I've seen plenty of friends getting in or almost getting into accidents because they were baked. I have no problem with people getting stoned...just don't do it on the road where you could end up killing me.
