Hey what are your favorite bars in the Northern NJ area? Right now im liking vanderbilts but it is expensive as hell. Pubs are always good, but does anyone know of any bars that attract younger crowds that are pretty good?

the verona inn, in montclair is pretty packed on tues nights. they have a deal that any size container you bring they will fill. the crowd is a mix of college kids- some are kind of annoying but if you go with a group its a good time.

The Dublin House does rock, and it's not for yuppie elitists, you're thinking of Ashes.

Terror, the Dublin House is very far from elitist or yuppy; like Lippy said you may be thinking of Ashes or the Downtown maybe? The Dublin House is just a chill lounge that gets crowds not too different from Bar 9 Tuesday's- plenty of different kinds of people but all generally cool. And Red Bank is cool.
