I was never a big fan of their movies, but I loved that half-hour show. Mr. Fields...Mike the Cop...the hot 1940's looking chick who always called Lou "Louis" and got him all discombobulated...
That was fine television. Why can't I find that show on cable?
Any fans out there in R&F Land?

Didnt see too many Abbott and Costello movies, but along with Laurel and Hardy and the 3 stooges, that was real comedy. Not like that "Friends" and will and grace crap on tv
Kinda makes you think when the #1 rapper is white and the #1 golfer is black
I liked it when Abbott was eating "arabian apples," which turned out to be onions and he knocked out the bad guys with his bad breath.

I may be dating myself with this, but I have a beautiful A & C radio show recording, from the early 1940s or so. Its when they debuted "Who's on First."
You're correct, old school A & C is so much funnier than anything on today, especially since John Belushi and Chris Farley have both OD'd and died.

You said it...though Courtney Cox does give me a boner...especially tonight.

That 40s chick was Marilyn Maxwell.
I always like the "Abbott and Costello Meet..." films. The best had to be "Abbot and Costello Meet Dracula, Frankenstein AND the Wolfman".
Costello scared was great!

always loved the Movies more than the TV show...
it was a ritual to watch the Movie every Sunday afternoon.
I bought a couple movies and my 12 and 10 year old love e'm. They are "Meet Frankenstien and The Werewolf" and the Hillbilly one "Coming Around The Mountain" with the Winfield and McCoy's
Hold That Ghost is another favorite/classic...

"who do voodoo?"
"you do voodoo?"

did you know the Mountain Witch is the lady who played the Wicked Witch in the Wizard Of Oz?

Yep, Margaret Hamilton.
I remember doing a double take when I saw Sister Act and the old nun was Mary Wickes from Who Done It?, the one where Bud & Lou get stuck in Moose Manson's house. I wish the boys lived long enough to still be making movies into the '90s.

O O O O Oh Ch Ch Ch Chet, O O O Oh Ch Ch Ch Chet, Oh Chet (Costello as the candle moves back and forth. Abbott, of course, doesn't see a thing).
