I agree that they're a big threat but you must deal with each threat in a different manner.
A country that already HAS the bomb must be dealt with much differently than one without it.
But I do agree we should wipe the Earth clean of these little rats.

Maybe a nuke is not the answer but I think something needs to be done before it is to late...don;t you feel that they are a huge threat....and there is no oil involved or anything like that(I think).

North Korea is a hostile nation and at this moment is not scared to confront an already busy US government and agenda (terrorism, the Middle East and Iraq). The US and others must be careful of such things and thus far, aid packages, negotiations and such have all been uneventful in success.

The picked the wrong POTUS to try and attempt that crap with. Gore might have done something like try another Framework Agreement that has proven to be ineffective. Bush, some say might not be bright enough to be scared, isn't going to be rushed into any agreement with the North Koreans out of fear.

North Korea has taunted, spoken badly and averted the US "recommendations" as well as trying to make peace, stop them from re-stating their nuke programs amoungst other items. The US also offered many aid packages. After North Korea ignored such items, the US and Colin Powell declared that it is the "international community" not just the US that should be helping negotiate these items. The US has also said it has no intention of war on the Korean Pennisula. It's funny how the US flip flops between interest driven items such as oil in the Middle East and Iraq, compared to a nuclear armament being hostile and ignoring US pleas for peace and dis-armament. Oh, and I forgot to mention the part about NK testing missiles as well.
