I'm waiting for them to announce ticket prices. But I think I'd like to go.

I saw Sonic Youth at the Tibetan Freedom Concert on Randals Island. They played a 30 minute set and never peeped a word. Just loud noise in rhythm. It was odd ...but good.

When I heard that Perry Ferell Was back in control of Lollapalooza there would be an amazing lineup, but this is pure crap. I like Janes addiction. But not enough to sit through those bands. And as far as the PNC, Ill never go to a show there ever again. Ive never seen so much security at a concert before, and on top of that they all act like rent a cops.

if im not mistaken, didnt the donna's just play warped tour last year and incubus play the warped tour about 2 or 3 years ago before they started playing at madison square garden?

the only good band on the bill is Queens Of the Stoneage... and if they arent playin at a club, i wont go to it.

I went to all four of the Tibetan Freedom Festivals, and all four easily fall into my list of my top ten favorite concerts.

Lollapalooza looks sad this year outside of Jane's, QOTSA and Jurassic 5...and besides, they'll never top Lollapalooze '94. NEVER.

I'm going on record here....
AUDIOSLAVE will back out of just aboot every single show (if not the entire tour).
There is something radically wrong with Cornells vocal cords now. I've heard several live recordings and I've seen him on several talk shows and he's simply cant cut it.

Unless he gets some kind of vocal surgery... the band will back out.

i'm getting my paloozas messed up...was that the year with Smashing Pumpkins as the headliner or the big Pearl Jam/Soundgarden year?

lp 94:
Smashing Pumkins
Beasties
George Clinton
Breeders
Tribe Called Quest
Nice Cave
L7
Flaming Lips
Verve
Luscious Jackson

Pulled the T-shirt out of mothballs.

While this year's LP is not the alterna-fest it used to be, I dig all of the bands on the bill. I'm not too good to see name bands in a big venue...Just love the music man.

Jurassic Who?...

J5 baby! My 2nd ravorite rap group, right behind Dilated Peoples. I guess hip-hop is not too popular on these boards, but to me it doesn't matter what kind of music it is, as long as it's good.

i can't wait, sure it's not the 94 lineup but it's still a money show. queens, audioslave, jane's, jurrasic 5, that right there is enough for me.

i only went to one other one (the one ari went to with sonic youth, and beck he was the money!) and i had the best time ever. i know it's not early 90's anymore but i guess this is as close as i'll get.

but if anyone hears when tickets go on sale please let me know, i'm definetely going.

I went to the Second one which had:

The Jesus and Mary Chain
Ministry
Ice Cube
Soundgarden
Pearl Jam
Red Hot Chili Peppers (when they still rocked)Lush

That show was just awesome. I remember Soundagrden and Pearl Jam playing with suich integrity. The next Soundgarden tour put me to sleep. I should have paid more attention to the Mary Chain as they became one of my favourites soon after and I saw them a few more times int he years to follow.

Audioslave could be good, and Jurassic 5 just fucking rocks. Queens im seeing with Zwan this month, so if they are good live then, ill give em a go at lollapalooza.

I could care less about Janes addiction, and i havent heard much of the donnas.

I just hope they add more acts..

The Jesus and Mary Chain

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. They rank WAY up there on the list of "Bands I'd give my left nut to see live". Guess I'll just have to settle for the almost as awesome Black Rebel Motorcycle Club instead.

since no one spends money on Cds anymore then there should be more big concert events cause the price of 3 new Cds is almost as much as a fancy cancert ticket

but still im cheap and poor so wheres PPV cable broadcast so i dont have to injest the second hand cigerette and pot smoke

and also not have to stand next to someone singing along with the band

and no people with T-shirts of the bands there seeing

and also no standing there awkwardly cause i dont know how to applaud or cheer

number 333 its the way to be

I remember that there was a rule that no band could play twice. In 1996, the year I went, they broke that rule. They had:
Soundgarden
Metallica
The Ramones
Rancid
The Screaming Trees
There were a few others but I can't quite remember. It pretty much sucked. The only reason I went was to see the Ramones.

Is it me...or do others get annoyed when people put initicials for band names? QOTSA? (and I'm not picking on this band per say, just in general). Some of these band names that people shorten aren't even going to be around in another year or so. It's like playing word jumble for bands....geeezz!

What, you wanna type out "Queens of The Stone Age" every goddamn time you want to bring them up? It's a fucking long band name!

Because I love the Queens so much, i wish them to break up after their next record so they don't get stale and leave in legendary status like what happened with Kyuss. They broke up after their fourth record when they were in their prime.
