Pretty good first show of the third season.

Does anyone know the song they played at the end of the show? I've heard it before but I don't know who sings it or the song title.

Didn't believe for a second that Nate was dead.

I figured as such when the first rumor I heard on the third season was that someone dies in the first episode, and this was months ago. I figured if they're giving it away so quickly it must be either a joke or something.

Don't know the song you're talking about, but I DID catch Steve Earle's Trancendental Blues (amazing) and the band guy name checked Sunny Day Real Estate. Those two things were worth the price of admission alone.

They usually post the songs they play on the show a few days after Sunday on the hbo.com web site 6FU music web link. I emailed the show's music director last year after they played an Afghan Whigs song on one of the shows (Somethin' Hot) when David visited a strip bar. He wrote me back and said he was working on my request to feature a Replacements or Paul Westerberg song.

I thought the show was OK; didn't miss that slut Brenda one bit.
