I was rifling through some old magazines and books...doing cleanup around the house and I came across some old Grateful Dead cds I had from years ago. The Workingman's Dead, and the Skeleton's in The Closet cds. I put them on and lots of good memories came back to me. I don't know if anyone liked them but it was kind've nice to have on while I cleaned up.

deadhead, deadhead, take another toke
deadhead, deadhead, you're a lousy joke
friend of the devil, who you trying to kid
friends of the devil are dead like Sid

i'll be grateful when you're dead
i'll be grateful when you're dead
i'll be grateful when you're dead
so don't stick around too long

riding that train high on cocaine
the music is really lousy, the fans are a pain
troubles behind, troubles ahead
the only good deadhead is one that's dead

i listen to the Dead sometimes. I have a few bootlegs and "american beauty" but that's it. They really were a fantastic band, the perfect amalgam of "american music." they combined country, blues, folk, bluegrass, and even a little jazz together to make something wholly unique; truly one-of-a-kind.
