Hk Im desperate for some type of all natural help for getting rid of this. Just alone the shortness of breath and the feeling that I cant breathe is making me a little nutty. Ive tried talking to myself to relieve it, Ive tried exercising, nothing is working. Myabe I shoul go and talk to someone before askign for medication? What do you think? Anyone?

AG - From what I understand about your current situation (as discussed in other posts) you're in a very transitional period now, with a major life change just a few weeks away.

Without a doubt that is playing a major factor in your anxiety. The good news about this, is that after the move, and when things begin to settle down, the anxiety level should drop quickly.

Therapy does wonders for all forms of anxiety. It is actually the most common reason people see therapists (not depression). Medication works, but it is not always necessary.

During an actual attack, you may find it helpful to try to sustain deep controlled breathing while thinking of a nice thing or place. It has the effect of removing yourself (a little) from the thing that triggered the anxiety.

At this poimt I dont even know if I am Moving. I fell so lost in my ife right now that I am scared of my future. I mean yes I know I didnt make the right decisions in my life and all but Im 22 years old, working full time in a fucking deli and scared shitless. Its not like I can even just pick up my shit and decide that I am going to go back to college take all the requirments needed to live and decide on a major. I never even had an acedemic life in High school, you expect me to live a regular college career with this backround?I think every daay to my self what each day willl bring.
I mran Florida seemed like a great Idea to me. Cheaper living , cheaper this cheaper tha, but then everyone especialy ,y father and step "familly" started to get on my case telling me that I was runnning away from everthing and that I should stck it out here in NY before I made a dramastic life change.
I just fell lost and confused and worried about the future

22? AG, i'm 24(yeah,not much older)and wish everyday that i could just go, just up and go, if you have the real and valid chance to go somewhere else that may interest you and pull you towards it, than i would have to say do it. I wish everyday i could go back and change things or at least try out the things i should have (24 and wishing i was could be younger, fucked up, huh) i say go, if you have a way where you plan to go, than i don't see why not try, you owe it to curiosity. i've always wanted to be something(writer or musician) and i've always seen, time after time that where i am now won't make it that for me, i've wanted to go to a few places, CA or Prague, but i'm stuck here not, too many responsibilities, if i followed my instincts at a younger age maybe it would have been diffferent, i'll never know. Going back to school for writing seriously would just make me out to be the creepy guy at the high-school keg party and besides the fact that i can't afford it; its not going to happen for me. Do it, at the worst, you come back to NY, hell, at least you wouldn't have to come back to NJ. See what happens maybe it'll turn out good for you (hopefully), maybe you'll be able to bang models and actresses, etc.
Do it, and F anyone that tells you anything different.

Bitches love me 'cause they know that i can rock.
Bitches love me 'cause they know that i can rhyme.
Bitches love me 'cause they know that i can f[_]ck.
Bitches love me 'cause they know that i'm on time.

AG - Believe me and the others here when they tell you to do it. You have the opportunity to make a dramatic change for the better in your life. Many times to this day I wish I had taken those same chances that you now have. I put them off and stayed the course. I have many regrets for doing that.

It undoubtedly will be a tough move and expeirence for you, but will also help you to be stronger in life. You did it, you made the move, you're in school. You'll feel a lot better when that is behind you. You then need to focus on your next challenge, school and studies....and all those parties. :-)

If you stay and continue with your life the way it is, you will one day notice it's 6 years later and you'll have a thousand regrets. It's not too late to change your life for the better.

You'll have to decide what you feel is best for your current situation but here's a few things to think of.

1. It's never too late to go back to school. I'm a perfect example. If it takes you 6 years to get through college and you're 22 now, you'll be 28 before you graduate. But if you didn't go, you'd still be 28, but without a degree.

2. College isn't the only answer. There are good technical schools which may interest you as well.

3. Any move can be frightening especially leaving so much you konw behind. It does entail giving up a certain amount of security (the known) in favor of the unknown. Of course, the known can be bad and the unknown good. If the move to Florida doesn't go the way you'd expect, you can always return to NY.

4. It's hard not to be influenced by the naysayers. Try to remember what got you so excited about the move in the first place (I think you posted about it) and try tor recapture those feelings.

5. The anxiety is a product of the stress of all these things floating up in the air w/no clear resolution in sight.
