Remember the Singing Nun? What about that "Eres Tu"? "Popcorn"? "Winchester Cathedral"? ""Love is Blue"?
AM Radio had some winners back in the day.
What about "The Love Theme From Romeo and Juliet"? Didn't it shut CCR and the Beatles out of the Number 1 spot?

A Skidmark production.

The 80ies seemed like a giant breeding ground for stupid-ass songs that went to number one.
"Rock Me Amadeus"(by Falco). Now that was just plain siily. That shouldn't have even been recorded... much less been a huge hit single!
"I Aways Feel Like, Somebody's Watching Me" (by Rockwell). I think the guy that sang it was related to Berry Gordy (which would explain the record deal) But did Michael Jackson really HAVE to contribute to that piece o' shite?!
and don't forget THE ABSOLUTE SILLIEST SONG OF ALL TIME:
"We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off" by Jermaine Johnson. Now THAT was a bad song, with bad singing, bad production, and silly-ass lyrics! Fuck that song and all the losers who liked it.

and the worst is when a bimbo singer like Britney Spears feels the need to rerecord a classic like 'Satisfaction'

A couple that still stand out and still bring great pain when i hear them are Right Said Fred (im too sexy). ColorMeBad (Iwanna sex you up) and Gerardo(Rico Suave). Im sure I could come up with a million more but those are the ones that always wanted to destroy something ever time i heard them.

Beethovens 5th. I think my parents bought that in the 70's and I still have it on 45.
McCarthur Park has to be one of the all time worst songs.
Thank you Ron and Fez for finally being live in DC again.
Ok let's get the boys back live in NY. Don't give up the fight.

Any song by the Spice Girls. More proof that the Devil exists and does take peoples souls. I am gonna launch a pre-empitive songs/artists that were popular and say anything by Avril Lavigne. Just more proof to back up my theory that there is an actual devil.
How about also that song "Wild, wild, west" by some band I cant remember. The song was awful but popular.

"Wild Wild West" was by THE ESCAPE CLUB.
I stayed at the same hotel as those guys when I went to Cancun back when they were huge.
Those dudes thought they were the biggest band in music.
I wonder which cover band they're in nowadays.

Anywho, that song was huge when I was growing up. That, and soap star Jack Wagner had a singing career. God, the 80's were fucked up.

1 word: Macarena. I mean, we didnt even know what the hell they were saying, but we all sang along at Hey Macarena! And somewhere, right now, in an area of the world too close to us to even imagine, there's someone at a wedding reception dancing to this thing, thinking that theyre on the cutting edge.
