Toys R' Us Roof Collapses...

Hyattsville, Md., Feb 22 - The roof of a Toys R Us store in in Prince George's County, Md., has collapsed, trapping an unknown number of people inside.


The store is literally about 20 minutes from my house. I used to go there all the time when i was a little kid, and its got to be at least 20 or 30 years old according to my parents. What a shame.

This was all the info I could get at the time, but its raining buckets here and i hope not too many people were hurt...

this is really scary. is it just me, or does it seem to anyone else like the world is falling apart? terrorists, war, massive amounts of snow, collapsing roofs, nightclub fires... call me crazy (you wont be the first), but shit just seems scarier these days

Yeah, during the blizzard last week the roof collapsed at the Clifton Rite-Aid and then some guy died at the Job Ready location in Edison from a collapsed overhang! This is either the end of the world or the beginning of the need for better engineering!

Got an update not too long ago...the whole roof did not fall at once, it fell in stages so most of the people were able to get out(thank God), but theyre still searching to see if anyone else is still buried in there..

The world IS falling apart. A couple of days ago, I hit a bird in flight with my car. If you have the power to fly anywhere and you suddenly swoop down and get hit by a shitty Toyotta Corolla then you deserve to be eaten by crows you winged freak. What the fuck is going on? The world IS falling apart, I tell's ya.

at work today a fireman came in and told me that i had to close down the store....the whole outlet mall was being shut down due to safety issues concerning the roof....which makes me worry...the place is only five years old...am i working in a death trap?....well at least they got everyone out...but they aren't sure if they are going to open the mall tomorrow due to rain and the 65 mph winds we are expecting...crazy i tell you...mothernature always wins.
