Okay you know the movie "Not Another Teen Movie"? Well in it theirs a guy who trys to start a group cheer by standing up and applauding.

What movie are they goofing on here?

Me and stump12 couldn't figure it out. Maybe it was the drinking, I dunno. It's just buging us now.

I always thought of it as a general parody, how in certin scenes in teen movies people just start clapping, which doesn't happen in the real world. But if it comes from a movie, I'd like to know which one it is.

Yea, I also thought it was a general parody on all movies as well.

The most hilarious example I can think of is in Rocky IV... when he gives the "If I can change, you can change, everybody can change" speech at the end... the Mikhail Gorbachev looking guy does the slow clap, and then everyone follows. Soooo cheesy.

It's a general spoof on the slow clap phenomenon common in a lot of those movies.

This one is specific though. Its sticking in our heads because the team and person doesnt win the game in the end. And then the slow clap comes.

I think all these movies have lost me. I felt the same way watching "Scream 2;" The scenes looked like parodies, but I just had no clue what they were "parody-ing"...

Maybe it just wasn't funny...

EDIT: I won't change it because I found it funny that I said that... I meant "Scary Movie 2" but is there really a difference?
