DC United using a R&F bit

The DC United have sprung up with a stadium chant of "More Cowbell" I'm not really sure how this sprung up. I couldn't find the original thread on bigsoccer.com. I doubt it's Ron and Fez inspired, they haven't been live down there long enough. just thought it was interesting.

I've been to a DC United game. I guess it relates to the fans who have drums and cowbells to play them loudly during at certain times during the game?

I don't care where they got the bit, that's funny as hell. And it's so damn funny because R&F are now a DC show...I might buy one just for that reason.

Soccer has crazy fans. The British fans sing songs while thier team has the ball, the Scottish start riots, and the Spanish teams just kill us Americans every year.

Its probably like when someone is about to score, that they play the Cowbells.

Actually the Cowbell thing has weirdly become a fundraiser for DC United's charity foundation
United for DC and is not being sold through the team.

The shirt was inspired by the Walken bit and I don't think anyone connected it to this radio show.

It has become a bit of a rallying cry for the fans for some weird reason that is probably too weird to be funny.

I guess it is also another thing for the Metrostar fans to make fun of us for...
